An often-overlooked secret
What is the secret to getting results with exercise is progression?
The problem with most people's exercise program is that they do the same thing day in and day out, month after month and after an initial bit of weight loss, become frustrated because they are not getting any more results.
So, they quit their exercising and gain back any little bit of weight they did lose. Part of the trouble is, with aerobic exercise, not monitoring your heart rate during exercise causes a plateau effect.
To overcome this plateau effect you must exercise by a plan. The goal is not to continually workout at a higher and higher level as doing so can lead to burnout and injury. You want to challenge the body by working out at varying intensities.
